A rt Ressel was an early student of the Hawken rifle. In the 1960's, he was able to acquire much of the shop tools and equipment left over from the Hawken-Gemmer gunshop. Art was also a firearms collector and antique appraiser and had collected a number of original Hawken rifles before their prices shot up dramatically in the 70's..
